So, have owned these for about 6 months, and for the most part I'm satisfied. I've been on the look out for wireless earbuds since they were fancifully inserted in the movie "Definitely, Maybe", but have been turned off by the awkward form factor of many, and the poor reviews of others. These ones had the form factor much closer to what I was looking for, and true to many of the reviews, do not suffer the connectivity issues it seems some of the other versions of this product do. Indoors these things are almost flawless as far as connectivity, I can walk my whole apartment without carrying my phone and even a bit down the hallway outside my apartment and have no issues. Outdoors I do get some drops, you have to be particular about where your phone is. I find that as soon as you go below the waist, the phone becomes inconsistent (so pant pockets are out, arm bands work great, as do shirt pockets and carrying my phone in my messenger bag).Durability is a bit rough. About 3 months in, my charging case stopped working as a battery case, and now only works if it is plugged in (i.e. I can't charge the case then use the case on its own to charge the headphones). I contacted Erato and they do not offer cases for sale, so I'm kind of just stuck only being able to charge my buds when I'm able to plug it in. The other issue is, while fairly secure for the most part (I'm pretty comfortable wearing them while riding my bike), I have had the occasional situation come up where they fall out of my ear, and unfortunately they aren't made to withstand drops. Both ears buds have cracks in them and one even comes apart fairly easily if I do not handle it carefully. Both still work just as well as the day I got them, but I suspect the one that comes apart is on its last legs, so not sure how much longer I'll be able to enjoy these (fairly expensive) ear buds.Edit - Sept 22 the left headphone finally stopped working. Contacted erato and was told there is no repair/replacement option for a single headphone. So didn’t quite make it a year, and frankly, not having the ability to get a new charging case, or to repair/replace a single headphone is gonna keep me away from this product. Just odd to have such an expensive device where if any one piece of it breaks, the company has no ability to, even at a cost, offer a replacement, dropped it from 3 to 2 stars for that, as it seems like a very short sighted way to service something that was made so delicately. These are the first totally wireless earbuds I've tried that have absolutely no connection problems. They work just as well as my Beoplay H5s and Jaybird X2s. I previously had a pair of Bragi Dash but returned them because the connection was awful (constant stuttering and disconnects, despite keeping the phone in my right pocket as Bragi recommended). A few quick thoughts:- They are tiny and very comfortable (they look way better in my ears than any of the other wireless earbuds I've tried). Haven't fallen out of my ears at all.- The connection is fantastic; I can place my phone in any pocket while walking outdoors and while working out at the gym. No disconnects or stuttering.- Audio quality is very good, better than a lot of my other bigger wired earbuds- They provide a lot of different tips (and comply tips) which helped me get a much better seal than the Bragi Dash, which I suspect has a lot to do with the better audio quality- Mic works well for phone calls, though I wish there were a way to hear the phone call in both earbuds at the same time (it switches to mono when a phone call comes in). Everyone I've talked to on the phone said they could hear me just fine.- Robotic "power on," "power off," and "headset connected" voice is super low quality. Not a big deal, but totally surprised me and had me a bit worried when I first turned them on. I quickly tested with some music and was happy to discover that the streaming audio quality is actually great. Perhaps they have very limited space on the device for their built-in sounds, so they had to make them really low quality.- Wish there was a way to disable the blinking blue lights which remind me a bit too much of awful Bluetooth headsets.- Buttons on each earbud are a super basic mechanical clicky button (unlike the more advanced touch controls most other wireless earbuds are doing). They don't feel as futuristic because of this, but on the plus side, they totally nail the functionality. It always does exactly what I want, and they offer every control I want (volume up/down, skip/back, Siri, etc). Using the touch controls on the Bragi Dash was always pretty unpredictable and unreliable, so I'm totally satisfied with the basic clicky button. I still think the Parrot Ziks are the benchmark for these sort of controls, but they also have a much bigger surface to perform these gestures on.- Minor, but I wish they didn't plaster their branding on the earbud and the charging case. Fortunately, it looks like a decal which should be easy to scrape off. :)I don't write reviews often but let me tell you, this time is worth it, these have Premium quality materials from what I see and feel.....SOUND IS AWESOME ... If you want the perfect sound you may have to download a third party app on your smart phone, on my case I have DENON Audio app Equalizer which let me manipulate the sound out of these babies and let me tell you the sound and bass improves a lot!!! on my iPhone 7plus.I do have a whole bunch of earbuds and cans, all wireless ( totally hate wires ) I commute every weekday to work and these work well on that matter. They block lots of the ambient noise but I wish they came with an APP that let you enable some sort of filters and stuff to filter outside ambient noise in incase you need to. LIKE THE BRAGI ...however comparing these to the DASH sound stage and volume leves are better on the Apollo way better LOUD VERY LOUD..almost distortion free... But again Bragi has the app and by now with the 2.1 ver they are a beauty ...AGAIN I wish these guys from ERATO audio would developed some sort off APP that combine with the Level of Audio they already produce will leave everybody behind ..and thats the reason I only do 4 starts because at the high price Tag they retail for !! you would expect more, but If you can live without a native app and fancy controls these are awesome in sound ..the best and they include those high quality foam tips or whatever they are called. They sealed the sound perfectly and the bass will never scape. YOU will feel immerse in the sound of your music...I've tried the similar Earin headphones (which I later returned due to them cutting out) and I have to say, where it counts (i.e. connection and sound quality) these beat them hands down. They have an on / off button too which is better than the auto on / off method by Earin. To give you an idea of the connection quality, I left my phone in a locker in my gym and proceeded to do an entire workout without the phone in my pocket (the lockers are in the centre of the room, still... superb experience). Must be at least a 10m range even out of line of sight.Pros:- Great sound quality- Near flawless connection to device even at range.- On / Off control works wellCons:- They flash blue or red / blue all the time! I look like I have antennas sticking out of my ears as it is without them flashing...- Sold as 'lightweight' they feel a little too light to me- I preferred the inline charging case on the Earins... it's a small thing, but it fit in my pocket better. They worked for a while then the left bud just stopped working completely - have tried a reset still not working. They cost nearly £300 at the time 2017. I have tried to contact Erato to no avail at least seven times and they do not respond. They clearly are an unworthy company to deal with. Will not recommend these products or anything by this company ever again totally disgusted. Have now purchased Jabra - which blow the Apollo’s into space where they belong. After extensive research on the subject of true wireless earphones, and having enjoyed a much cheaper set the previous year, I concluded that the Erato Apollo 7 would be the most reliable and highest quality bluetooth earphone experience currently available in 2017. And after a couple months of use I agree they really are absolutely the best earphones I've ever owned, well worth the price.Audio has superb range, bluetooth connectivity is painless once you get the hang of it - I turn the earbuds on suequentially rather than concurrently, and consistanly hear the wonderful "headset connected" notification within a few seconds. It can be a bit difficult if attempting to pair in a crowded area with many other automaticly pairing devices, but the connectivity range is reasonable that you can step out into a more isolated area to do so.I've not actually been much concerned with battery life, as I use them for short durations, twice each day on my cycle to and from work. In longer duration tests they have survived adequately long enough that I am not disappointed, considering their size and the novel nature of the technology. The charging case is well designed and easy to use, but can be fiddly to insert the phones with the stabiliser bits attached - though not inconveniently so, you just fold them out of the way to close the device. The kit came with several sizes of silicone tips as well as a few foam tips which expand to fit snugly in the ear. These have been great at reducing slip and raising comfort. The only disappointment I have is the sound of the wind hitting the not-so-aerodynamic body of the phones while I cycle, which can drown out the audio. Wearing some ear muffs or a hat should solve this though during winter. It's just a shame that the Apollo 7S model is not currently available, as I would have certainly paid extra for the supposedly superior 3D sound.not quite as user-friendly as the Apple ear pods, but much better sound and insulation. The biggest problem for me is I just couldn't get enough volume from them. I'll revert to wired headphones with a portable amp until the technology improves further...The headphones are great, sound is good, Bluetooth is good, but... The foam inear tips have just split after 2months of use, that's very poor. Can some please help with getting some more foam tips for these inear headphones? Thanks.
