There are two significant reasons, in my view, that make the Lemorele Wireless HDMI Transmitter such a handy device. First, its literal Plug and Play setup and secondly, its portability. It’s really a tiny marvelof electronics and convenience. In fact, it’s so simple and straightforward to use that it’s going to be difficult to find much more to say about it.I’ll just describe my experience setting up and using the kit for those considering purchasing it. I’m using it to mirror my laptop screen to a larger, 24” monitor. I used the instructions and illustrations found on the wireless kit’s Amazon PoP page; they are much easier to follow than the provided user manual.First, as instructed, I plugged the Lemerole wireless RX, that is basically a cable with a regular size HDMI connector on one end a USB-A on the other, into the HDMI port of the monitor. The USB-A connector of the RX is used to provide it power. In this case, the monitor is an older one and doesn’t have a USB-A port, nor was power provided through the HDMI connection. In order to power the RX I used a portable power bank; a 5V 2A power adapter can also be used. Once connected to power and the monitor input switched to HDMI, the Lemorele RX’s setup screen appeared.My laptop has an HDMI output port into which I plugged the Lemorele TXs’ HDMI connector. In this case, the TX received power directly from the HDMI port and there was no need to use the auxiliary USB-C power cable; always nice when fewer cables are required. Within a few seconds of being connected, the laptops screen was mirrored on the larger monitor. The RX and TX are paired at the factory; none such is required of the user.In this case, with TX and RX less than 3’ from each other, I did not decern any latency in imagery or sound, not even when watching movies or YouTube videos. The setup was simple, quick and provided a flawless connection. For my basic need, the one described here, the Lemorele Wireless setup is perfect.According to the user manual, which I find vague in some respects, or what could be the limitations of my own inexperience with such devices, the RX can be used as a standalone device with screen mirroring software, with a mobile phone, for example. However, since the RX has an HDMI connecter, to use it with a mobile phone, at least an iPhone, requires an adapter. I’m uncertain as to what kind of adapter.The one feature I would like to access, but haven’t yet figured out how to do so, and again to which I find the instructions nebulous, is accessing the Lemorele’s settings menu. In this case the user manual instructs to find the Lemorele RX in the user’s wireless network, which I assume to be the local Wi-Fi. Once found, open a browser then go to an address given in the manual; it’s similar to accessing the settings in some routers. Thus far I haven’t found any Lemorele device on my network to log onto. This is of interest because the settings menu is used for firmware updates. The user manual provides a support email to which I’ve inquired for further clarification.In the end, all’s good, the Lemorele Wireless Video Setup, within the context I’ve described here, is basically effortless to set up and connect. I cannot comment at its use for gaming or at the extremes of the sellers asserted working range of 164ft, as its not likely that I’ll have a need for that range. Nonetheless, going forward I will be experimenting with other uses for this kit, for example, if it might be used to transmit from a DSLR. If anything of interest comes to light, I’ll report back.
